  • In the second phase of the action project, Yusri and his team made adjustments based on the insights gained from discussions with local NGOs and community facilitators in the first phase. Recognizing the established presence of Religious Forums in the village, they integrated their program into these forums. They understood the pivotal role that religious leaders play in influencing community perspectives and behaviors. By adapting their approach and leveraging existing community structures, Yusri and his team aimed to foster a deeper understanding of child marriage among both children and parents. Through collaborative efforts and strategic partnerships, they successfully created a more informed and empowered community, laying the groundwork for lasting change in the Awo District of Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Tenggara provides safe spaces for young people to learn and discuss these issues, reaching over 4,000 youth across 30 communities.
